World Freshwater Aquarium Aqua Totto Gifu (Kakamigahara, Gifu)

One of the world’s largest freshwater fish aquariums

This is one of the world’s largest freshwater fish aquariums, with themes ranging from the three Kiso Rivers and the Nagara River to the world’s great rivers. In the aquarium, where the living environment is precisely reproduced, visitors can encounter 20,000 aquatic creatures of about 220 species, including mainly fish, reptiles, and amphibians. The aquarium is a fun place for children and adults alike to enjoy the giant Amazonian fish pirarucu and capybara “mugging time.
The aquarium is adjacent to the Kawashima PA Highway Oasis on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway.
