Edogawa City Nature Zoo (Edogawa, Tokyo)

Edogawa City Nature Zoo, a free zoo in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo, is located in Gyosen Park and opened on May 5, 1983. 610 animals of about 58 species are on display.

Visitors can observe red pandas, prairie dogs, and other popular animals up close. There is also a corner where visitors can interact with rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, and other animals, and even preschool children can enjoy petting them.

Edogawa City Nature Zoo can be reached from Nishi-Kasai Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line in about 15 minutes on foot or by Toei Bus Shinko 21. The zoo is adjacent to a very large park called Gyosen Park, so we recommend spending time in the park after playing in Edogawa City Nature Zoo.
