
Located in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Flower Park Kagoshima is a botanical park where visitors can enjoy plants from all over the world, taking advantage of the mild climate and the natural pine forests that surround it. Visitors can enjoy workshops such as wreath-making, star gazing, exhibitions, and hands-on classes such as planting.

The Flower Park Kagoshima is equipped with a variety of gardening and greenhouse concepts, as well as a library. The terraces of the observation corridor are made of coral stones from Kikai Island, and offer an excellent view of Kagoshima Bay.

The indoor garden is a semi-artificial environment garden with a bright transparent roof.
Izuno-odoriko, the earliest blooming cherry tree in Japan



Izu no Odoriko is a crossbreed of the Oshima cherry tree, and its flowers are characterized by their bright pink color. The petals do not fall off for a long period of time, allowing the flowers to be appreciated, and the blooming period is long, lasting about one month from late January to early February. At Flower Park Kagoshima, they are planted mainly in lawn areas and contest gardens.
