Chiba Port Tower is an observation tower built in 1986 at the international port of Chiba to commemorate the five millionth resident of Chiba Prefecture. From its 113-meter-high observation deck, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo Bay, including not only the city of Chiba, but also Mt. Fuji. The beauty of the night view, which has been recognized as a Japan Night View Heritage Site, is also exceptional.

When I visited, it was Christmas illumination season, and the inside of the museum was decorated and the tower was illuminated, making it very beautiful. It has become a popular winter scene in Chiba. Chiba Port Tower, which has been recognized as a Heritage Site of Japan’s Nightscape, is popular for its romantic and warm Christmas illumination.

The observatory offers a panoramic view of Chiba City, and on a clear day from the west side, you can see Mt.Fuji.

In the park around Chiba Port Tower, there are BBQ facilities, tennis courts, and a beach plaza (sandy beach) where you can enjoy your own food.
