The biggest attraction of Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is that it is a theme park on the water. There is an aquarium, attractions (amusement park), fishing, and interactive zoo. And of course, all of them are so authentic that it may be difficult to play through all of them in a day. It is truly an island like a dream floating on the sea.
It is one of the largest aquariums in Japan. In the large tank in the center of the aquarium, visitors can see schools of sparkling sardines and mackerels, stingrays swimming gracefully among them, and sharks swimming majestically. Children will be enthralled by the sight of fish swimming right above them and 180 degrees to the left and right as they move along the escalators.
At Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, visitors can enjoy interacting with marine animals. At the time of our visit, there was a cat shark on display, and we were able to pet it by hand.
