
Fuji Kachoen is a theme park where flowers and animals live in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Bird show at Fuji Kachoen

One of the most popular events at Fuji Kachoen is the bird show. Visitors can observe owls flying freely in the sky or landing in front of them, following the instructions of the breeding staff. Since owls seem to be active only about 5% of the time each day, visitors can enjoy the powerful performance of the owls, which is usually hard to see. After the show, there is a photo session where you can take pictures with the owls, which is a must-see.
Colorful flowers in Fuji Kachoen

The Fuji Bird Garden is home to more than 1,000 colorful flowers, offering beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see. The flowers are grown in an all-weather air-conditioned greenhouse, so you can see them in full bloom any time of the year. Visitors can enjoy viewing the flowers in a variety of ways, such as taking pictures while surrounded by the flowers, or enjoying a meal at the refreshment corner.
Fuji Kachoen is recently closed since the owner company has been bankrupt (Jan.23,2025), but the successor announced it will come back in the near future.
