Amano-hashidate Viewland is a combined amusement park and observatory located at the top of Monjuyama Mountain in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture. Amano-hashidate is called “Hiryu-kan,” or “flying dragon view,” because Amano-hashidate looks like a dragon ascending to the sky when viewed through a crotch peephole.
What is Amano-hashidate?
Amano-hashidate is a 3.6-kilometer-long sandbar at the mouth of the bay that separates Miyazu Bay in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, from the inland Aso Sea from north to south. It is one of the three most scenic spots in Japan and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kyoto Prefecture.
Panoramic restaurant
Amano-hashidate Viewland is located at the top of Mt. Bunshu, and in the middle of the facility there is an “Panoramic restaurant” where you can enjoy a meal while enjoying the best view. The restaurant offers fresh fish directly from the production area, and the fried seafood set and kaisen donburi are especially popular.
