Aquamarine Fukushima is an aquarium themed around the “tides” off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture. The aquarium has many fascinating sections, such as the Oyashio Icebox, a treasure trove of small but colorful and uniquely shaped creatures, and the Sea Animals and Seabirds of the Northern Seas, where you can meet powerful sea lions and adorable largha seals.
The 4,500 m2 “Janome Beach” is an outdoor experience area where visitors can get in the water and play, recreating the nature of the seashore: rocky shore, mud flats, and sandy beach. Visitors can enter the water to search for starfish, sea cucumbers, and other creatures and observe them up close.
Aquamarine Fukushima has three restaurants, including a restaurant, each of which offers unique and delicious food.
Restaurant “AQUACROSS”
AquaCross is a wonderful restaurant where you can dine in a spectacular location overlooking the ocean in Onahama. The menu is centered around seafood, and you will be thrilled by the unique menu items such as Taiyaki shaped like a coelacanth (Gombessa) and Western-style set menus linked to world-famous literature♪.

The famous novel “The Old Man and the Sea” by Nobel Prize-winning author Hemingway tells the story of a lonely old man, Grandpa Santiago, who fishes for a huge marlin all by himself.
