Karuizawa Toy Kingdom” is a theme park of ‘toys’ that you can see, touch and experience.
The Hotel Green Plaza Karuizawa, located about a 5-minute walk from the Toy Kingdom, is full of features that make it a great place for families! A true dream for children, the Toy Room Area is an indoor facility in Pavilion 11 where they can play with toys as much as they want! Newly renovated in April 2017, the toy rooms are air-conditioned and comfortable on hot and cold days! In addition to the newly created “Koeda-chan and the Wooden House” and “Meru-chan’s House”, children will be very happy to play with a variety of toys in the “Wooden Toy Museum” and “Tomica and Plarail Land”!
◆Wooden Toy Museum
The theme of this room is “Mokuiku” (wood education), and only wooden toys that retain the warmth of wood are collected here. There are wooden toys such as miriki, puzzles and musical instruments collected from all over the world. There is also a ball pool with wooden balls made from thinned wood in the neighborhood.
◆Tomica and Plarail Land
This room is filled with Tomica and Plarail, which boys love. In addition to a large diorama, children can build their own rails and run trains.
Koeda-chan and the Wooden House
In addition to playing with Koeda-chan toys popular with girls, there is an exhibition corner introducing Koeda-chan’s family and friends.
