Mt. Haruna ropeway is a double-decker ropeway that takes you from the lakeside Kogen Station to the summit of Mt. Haruna. On a clear day, the summit offers a panoramic view of the Kanto Plain and the mountains of Jōshū, and on a fine day in winter, you might be able to see Mt. Fuji. The beautiful scenery and natural attractions of the four seasons attract visitors.
From the top, you can see the emerald green Lake Haruna, the mountains, and even the Tokyo Sky Tree on a clear day. Enjoy an exhilarating walk in the air that only the Kanto Plain can offer.
In addition, nighttime operation is usually held in December to coincide with the Lake Haruna Illumination. From the top of the mountain, visitors can see the night views of Takasaki and Maebashi, as well as the illumination.
