The Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum is one of the three major dinosaur museums in the world.

Echizen soba (buckwheat noodles) is a must-try. Fukui Prefecture is one of the two largest buckwheat noodle kingdoms in Japan. There are many soba restaurants in Fukui Prefecture where you can enjoy delicious soba, such as Jyuwari (100%) Soba made from buckwheat flour produced in Fukui Prefecture!

ou can enjoy the charm of Echizen soba in all its glory! Echizen Soba-no-Sato is directly operated by Takefu Seimen, a long-established noodle manufacturer established over 90 years ago, which grows soba on its own farms in Fukui and Hokkaido, from growing the soba to milling the flour, making the noodles, and preparing the sauce. The soba is grown on the company’s own farms in Fukui and Hokkaido, where everything from growing the soba to milling and serving it to customers is handled by the company.

Among such special soba, we recommend Echizen Oroshi Soba (grated buckwheat noodles). Echizen Oroshi Soba is a type of buckwheat noodle mainly eaten in the Reinokita region of Fukui Prefecture. The name “oroshi-soba” comes from the fact that grated daikon (Japanese radish) is always used in the soup, which is made from buckwheat flour and grated daikon, and is served over soba noodles.

Soba made by yourself tastes better⁉ Soba making experience

One of the most popular activities at Echizen Soba-no-sato is the soba noodle making experience.
