Abukuma-do Cave, located in Takine-cho, Tamura City, Fukushima Prefecture, offers an unusual menu using wine in addition to Fukushima Prefecture’s famous \u201cSauce Katsudon,\u201d a bowl of rice topped with pork cutlet. This time we will introduce you to the exquisite gourmet food at Rest House Busan, a restaurant in Abukuma-do Cave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Abukuma-do Cave?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Abukuma-do Cave is a limestone cave in Tamura City, Fukushima Prefecture, located in the Abukuma Kogen Chubu Prefectural Natural Park. The cave has a total length of more than 4,000 meters, and the average temperature in the cave is 15 degrees Celsius, which is stable throughout the year. Taking advantage of this environment, wine is stored in the caves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two different routes to visit the caves: a general course and an exploration course. Route A is the route that can be visited without preparation for water. In addition to the Abukuma-do Cave tour route, visitors can also enjoy Irimizu limestone cave, Fureai-kan (a facility where visitors can stay overnight), and the Hoshi-no-Mura Observatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cWine Salt Ramen\u201d uses wine salt made from \u201cTakine Hokujyun,\u201d a wine stored in Abukuma-do, and the wine and ramen go well together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
